Help with burning hexquake

Hi...
have recently downloaded hexquake and am a bit lost as to how to burn it.

I have followed its instructions by extracting its contents to a folder on my harddisk called 'hexquake' and then it said to get pako.pak from the shareware version of quake (I assumed it meant the pc version) so I downloaded that and put it in the ID1 folder.
... and now i gotta burn it....

But how do I do this as I am used to just burning .cdi images straight on to disc via discjuggler...
What options do I need to use to burn all these files on to disc for use with the DC?

You need to burn the disc as a plain old ISO 9660 disc then use a boot disc like DC Hakker or Demo Menu Loader to start it up. Pop in the boot disc, wait for it to load up the booting app then swap discs and locate the 1ST_READ.BIN file to start up quake.

You may want to create a self booting disc with some PC app or another. Maybe someone else could help with that.

I'm not sure that DemoMenu will boot it, but DCHakker might (WinCE related).

That site you linked me to is nasty cause my spyware blocker started having a spaz attack when i went on it, but I braved this and the link to the dchakker is down. :/

Also burning the disc as a plain old ISO 9660 is like gobbledy gook to me....

Would be greatful for some more detailed advice and maybe a alternate link?

I have yet to try the following method of selfbooting HexQuake, but I believe it should work.
Use BootDreams to create a selfbooting image and when it asks you if you want to scramble 1st_read.bin, choose NOT to. The rest should be link selfbooting regular homebrew. The only different is HexQuake (a hex edited version of QuakeDC which was/is programmed under Miscrosoft's WinCE dev kit for Dreamcast).

Although for some reason when the game loads up it plays the demo yet it does not seem to let me play??
No button I press stops the demo etc

any ideas??

I think it's because Fragger removed QuakeDC's default configuration scheme. I'm not real sure. You might need to use JoyMenu and add it to the CD. Again, I can be wrong. Hopefully someone who tried it already can help.
