Howlong to leave a console after soldering?

Ok, so I just finished repairing my SEGA Saturn mod-chip after the original wires came lose after the initial failed mod which ended up setting the Saturn on fire luckily not this one). Which I've now soldered the power wire to the forth power thingy after returning the signal wire to the point between A and B, like said on RacketBoy and SegaXtreme (using my Japanese Saturn as a reference to the power connection).

I'm just wondering how long I have to leave the console before being able to test it(?), I'm completely new to this side of modifying consoles which I wouldn't want to plug it in not knowing if I should directly after a solder attempt.

If anywhere to ask, someone will reply here since there are many modders. :cool:

Solder hardens immediately. You should be good to go after carefully inspecting what you've done.

I picked up a 32-pin MK-80000A Model 2 Saturn yesterday. So I'm getting a Saturn Modchip pretty soon, myself.

So, it's just a matter of bridging those two points on the back (A+B) of the chip and soldering a wire to the power supply?

I may even try a US/PAL/JP region mod. :)

I checked my solder a few times before I re-placed the lid, even to the point of making sure the CD cable was firmly in place and that the chip wasn't obscured (I noticed the ribbon could bend it) and the wires taped... Though I think I used too much wire (pictured below) mainly because I was kinda scared of burning and then possibly not having enough after cutting it again, which I don't think will be any problem because it's only to power and not to the signal?

Yeah, it's as simple as soldering the signal wire to the empty point and then the power to the main power circuit. Trying to solder the 14th pin on the 32 pin board is what caused the death of the last Saturn I tried to mod, anyone can do this. :cool:

The time it takes you to put it back together will be plenty of time.

Saturn modchips are the easiest EVER. Its ace.
