help! milkshape won't open my cs .mdl file

i wanted to convert a cs .mdl file to a q2 file so i could play it in iris

the only problem is that milkshape won't open the file, and my trial is allmost up

you trying to open or import? Also do realise quake 2 does not suport bones. So you will have to reanimate him.

well i'm a n00b with milkshape

before i uninstalled milkshape it said something like error, could not load...

could you convert it for me?

also, is there another program i can use to edit skins after the milkshape trial runs out?

Once it runs out, the option is up to you, to purchase it, drop it, or you choose...

As far as converting it... There are an arseload of animations you have to redo...

First you have to decompile the mdl file...

then you import the .smd files (you want one that has the crusefix pose)

the rest is your bag... there was a tutorial floating around on planet quake on how to convert HL .mdl's into Quake 2 MD2s... but it dissapeared...
