Yelp Hits Android Market Today [Androidmarket]
http://cache.gawker.com/assets/image...b160x_yelp.jpg The good news is that Android users finally have a Yelp app to call their own. The bad news is that it's relatively bare-bones.
The basics are all there: restaurant and business navigation, ratings and reviews, photos, and direct calling all work just fine. There's even a new feature that shows you directions from your current location to your destination in separate browser.
What's missing, though, are all the interactive nibblets that make Yelp such a fun guide to use. The Android version is read-only, meaning that for now you can look at other people's opinions but not share your own. Still, though, it's a nice free alternative to Zagat's ten dollar equivalent.
