New Super Mario Bros. Wii Holds Onto #1 In Japan [Sales Get]

http://cache.gawker.com/assets/image..._wii_japan.jpgNew Super Mario Bros. Wii continues its strong sales performance in Japan, moving the Wii game well past the million mark with another 431,000 copies sold. You know, maybe Nintendo should make *more* Mario games!
Sure, New Super Mario Bros. Wii's rock solid performance comes as little surprise and we expect to see the game at or near the top of the charts for weeks to come. Obviously we expect Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII to be right up there with it, but those figures won't be in until next week.
Other games that charted well this week, according to Japanese sales monitor Media Create, include Namco Bandai's Tales of Graces for the Wii, the Japanese version(s) of Modern Warfare 2, and the latest Naruto title for PSP.
