Gba games are not working properly?

Here it is what I have:
-Supercards SD
-Passme 1
-512 sd card

NDS games work fine.but when I load a gba file,It takes a long time to load and it dosen't save.What could I be doing wrong?

do you create a sav file when using the software to transfer them to your sd card?
