What can i do with TA-082 fm2.5?

hi all,
I have a Japanese 2.5 PSP that i bought 2 weeks ago.
Because i can not downgrade it (TA-082), should i upgrade?
is there any application i can install to my psp? How to do it? is that safe? (Im Indonesian and belive me psp cost me alot:( so i dont want to brick it)

well you can use the gta exploit to play a fair amount of emulators and games.
