PSP Version number

Hi

Does anybody know where the PSPs version number is stored within the 2.71 firmware?

I want to experiment see.

If anybody knows, please let me know.

are you talking about the version under system settings.

Yea, I heard it was stored in the IPL but couldnt find it

isn't it like:
flash0:\vsh\etc\version.txt
?

The version.txt isnt the one the psp relies on. flash0:/vsh/etc/index.dat is the main encrypted one.
