no it wont work on 2.71
only 1.50 and it works very well. maybe you can downdate?
you cant downgrade a 2.71
hopefully dark_Alex will come out with one soon!

yep the modchip will work and it would be even better if you used the new epsilon bios with it
itd be nice to make our own 3.0 update that allowed us to customize whatever we wanted without bricking our psp's.
