Pokemon Wannabee?

First i have to make my excusses because my bad english, i don't live in America or Engeland, i live in holland, so please don't flame on me because my bad english.:)

Now my idea:
Many people love's pokemon, i know you can play pokemon on your PSP with an Emulator but that suxs:p

Maybe is it an idea to make a pokemon WANNABEE?
A few coders and spriters makes some own beasts with his own attacks and the whole story and goal.
But we give it an other name, like: Pocket Fighters(pokemon= Pocket Monsters;) ) or Fight Beast, or any other name.

I really know that if somebody can do this, he will be respected and his homebrew game will be played as many times as a pokemon game did.

Please don't flame on me about this idea, it was just an idea, maybe this isn't possible but i'm a NOOB on PSP coding, so i really don't know if this is possible.

I CAN NOT coding or making sprites, so i cannot help.:(

Hopefully somebody would create this.

Sounds like a neat idea but as you said, you can play pokemon on the PSP with an emulator.. so I just personally don't think it would be worth it to bother making a new pokemon-esque game.

It sounds possible, as the original pokemon engine seems simple enough to replicate.

I think it'd be worth it for someone to create a game like this, as afterwards the engine could be slightly tweaked to allow for general RPGs to use the engine as well.

cool idea, but playing pokemong crystal version on ym PSP does not suck! I love it! That was the best pokemong game ever, and thanks to Homer for his amazing emulator, I get to play it perfectly :D

I have every pokemon sprite known to man, so if a coder wanted to make the game, I could supply those.

Make it so it has every pokemon, not just 250, 200, or 151.

might be a good idea to use custom sprites/names/storyline (no more 'fill the pokedex' quest from oak as he's always asking you to do)
