updating flashme

i have an silver DS about a year old ,supercard sd and have flashed it using flashme stealth .i have had no problems with it at all but am about to put falshme on a friends DS ,but as i no longer the version of flashme i installed i've downloaded v7 of this firmware but would like to try on my one first to check everything is ok but cant seem to work out how to get this to work.

so can someone please tell me how i upgrade from an old version of flashem to a new one .
i dont now what version i already have .

any help would be greatly appreciated
