gps help and maps on CFW 5.50 GEN-D2

i have a psp phat with cfw 5.50 GEN-D2
i found my old psp-290 gps adapter and decided to use it again.
downloaded mapthis 0.5.20
it runs but the gps adapter cannot turn on.
can anyone help me?
also i live in indonesia so the maps i download from GMDL don't have geodata.
is there anyway i can make it?
can i convert garmin maps to work on mapthis??

I don't think is there a way of converting a garmin map to mapthis format.

Unfortunely I'm a little out of scene about GPS on PSP and cannot help with your adapter issue.
