Dragon Quest tops Japanese chart; PSP leads hardware

Dragon Quest has held its number one position in the Japanese software chart for another week, with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on PSP clinging as well to the number two spot.

The top ten saw two new entries - Hakuouki: Yuugi Roku on PSP, which entered at number five, and 2010 FIFA World Cup: South Africa, which made its debut at number 10.

The rest of the highest placed games were largely unchanged from last week, with New Super Mario Bros Wii sticking at number three, and Friend Collection remaining at four.

NieR Replicant climbed from 10 to number seven, and Wii Fit Plus sales sunk 49 per cent to drop the game from sixth to eighth place.

In the hardware chart, the PSP held its number one position with 24,475 sales, while PS3 moved from fourth to second position, knocking the Wii into third and the DSi LL into fourth place.

The PSPgo didn't even manage to sell 1000 units over the week, shifting just 871 in total.
