re r4i gold Firmware update

Hi I am using the May 2010 1.31b ( sometimes listed as 1.32 ???) firmware

This is getting out of date many ROM titles will not work
The firmware updates for dsreal seem far more regular

Does anyone know if there will be further firmware updates or have I bought a `white elephant`

I see the R4i Gold there which only has updates till july 2010
What is the very best cartridgewith regular updates
