Apple unfriends Facebook, blaming 'onerous terms'

At last night's Apple launch, Facebook Connect was a clearly marked option in iTunes 10's new Ping social music network, to help users add their friends.
This morning, that option has disappeared. Why? A big clue comes with comments made by CEO Steve Jobs to All Things Digital last night.
Asked why Facebook wasn't a bigger part of Ping, Jobs blamed "onerous terms that we could not agree to" and suggested that people can easily find their friends on Ping by typing their names into search or emailing them an invite.
Even so, despite the failure of those talks, Facebook Connect was very much a part of Ping last night, and isn't this morning.
Whether that's due to Facebook blocking Apple from using its API, or other technical issues, is currently unclear.
