Confirmed: The Last Guardian demoed next week

Sony has confirmed that The Last Guardian will be making an appearance at Tokyo Game Show next week.

The Last Guardian is the latest title from Fumito Ueda, the creator of critically acclaimed titles Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

The game is the studio's first PlayStation 3 title and details about the game have been scarce since the initial announcement at E3 2009.

Ueda recently told Famitsu that Team Ico would "be able to make some announcements that will please everyone a new announcements regarding the game" very soon but did not specify when.

Fans have been begging for an Ico and Shadow of the Colossus collection for the PS3 and SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has said he is "very aware" of demand for it.
