Be ready for the onslaught of the white flame and the black electric bolts. Pokemon Black and White will be shipped this Saturday. As most of you might already know, we will do an extra shift on that day to ensure that the majority of customers who have preordered will get their game in a timely fashion.

Another issue that might concern you is the game's region-lock. We have conducted the testing on Pokemon White and Black recently and its confirmed that the games are locked. They work on all Nintendo DS™ and DS™ Lite consoles, but only on Japanese Nintendo DSi™ and DSi™ LL.

somethings are hard to understand... region lock on DSi? What is that for? So american/european people can't video-chat with japanese?

After years of enjoying region-free gaming on Nintendo consoles, they bring out the big buzz-kill hammer. Not only have they blocked most Homebrew cards (with constant Firmware updates) now they want to impose region locking on the DS? I was about to import Pokemon White in the next few days and now I find out this, VERY sad face Nintendo...
