Payload Service Mode: downgrade and PSGroove with USB ?

Richdevx released 2 screenshots that could show signs of a payload put the PS3 into service mode .

It seems that this will enable the launch of the software service , including to downgrade the PS3 . It is even possible , with some acrobatics every boot to load self from usb and allow the use of a dongle just to install it, and need only a USB key classical thereafter.

However, without further explanation , this information must be taken with a maximum drop pending confirmation or otherwise of these possibilities.
