new to everything, don't know which way to turn, HELP!

Hello! I'm new to the forums, and I'm considering homebrew for my DS Lite, as a way to play GBA games instead of having a billion carts all over the place, maybe for music and videos and stuff on the go.

But I don't know where to start! How much space do the emulator kits have available for games and stuff, what sizes do I get, what all do I need, etc etc, agh, its all confusing. What do I do? Even the guides are confusing to me, using terms I really don't understand. ^^;

I am prepared to spend a bit of money, but I'm in Canadian dollars so have mercy on me and convert if you can. ^_^;;;

M3(lite, soon, but I have CF) is a great way to turn for DS and GBA stuff, expandible memory.

Some one should sticky a thread called:

DO NOT BUY MAX MEDIA PLAYER/DOCK

And have it like 3x as big as normal size for a title so everyone can see it
