Tales of Phantasia
New Commercial game release:

A PSP version of the 1995 Super Famicom game (the first in the long-running Tales saga). As the title suggests, the PSP version includes full voice for its dialog. Bandai Namco has also added all the bonus elements that were found in the PlayStation and Game Boy Advance remakes, as well as the ability to load from anywhere on your quest, including towns and dungeons. New to this edition is a Grade Shop system from more recent Tales titles -- once you clear the game and start a new game using the clear save data, you're given a "grade" which can be used to purchase various bonuses.

WHAT! Are you serious? This is a total surprise and most definite welcome. This is one of the best retro-style RPG's. Retro & RPG are the perfect combo for the PSP. I had no idea this game was in the works. I hope very much for an ENGLISH language version.

this game is going to be awesome :)
-
looks promising but is it really, thats my Q
-
I was waiting for this one.. I only hope it'll come out in english.
kcajblue this is no port it's a remake (ever seen the original on the SNES?).
-
I think it was Sufami, not SNES orginally.. And being a 40+meg cart with voices, it was quite an achivement at that time.. But I liked PS' Tales of Destiny more.. I don't know why..
Oh btw, was Gundam Battle Tactics any good ?
-
I though the SNES version was the first.. oh well.
Since we're talking about voices, the opening song "the dream will not die" is the first song to be put in a game. I also played Tales of destiny and it was interesting (no wonder they're making a ps2 remake) but Phantasia is still my all-favourite Tales.
As for Gundam Battle Tactics it's one of my favorite games, of course it's in japanese, but most of the menus are in english and controls are quick to learn (same as Federation vs Zeon).

my favourite is tos then top
