Game Boy Color Emulator with wifi/ad hoc?

So my friend and I were playing some old game boy color games and we were like hey! wouldn't it be awesome if we could play pokemon and some other multi player games.

So I came up with a few questions

How hard in theory would this be to code?
Would anyone even be willing to do it?
Does anyone even want it done?

I was also thinking about coding this myself as a future project when I actually know what I'm doing when I'm coding haha.

Any ways post what you think I guess. If It's a bad thread don't hesitate to close it.

In theory fairly simple.
I dont think you would have a problem asking a DEV to do it. Try zx-81. (He does alot of porting of emulators0
