Dreamcast Homebrew Help

I can't seem to correctly burn homebrew for my DC.
For commercial games, i tried the Discjuggler method and followed a tutorial, but my DC just got stuck at the spiral screen and went to the menu. After that, i tried BootDreams, i used CDI burner and burned at 1x (the games i burned at a higher speed froze) and the games worked perfectly(although it did take a couple tries to get them to start).

I used the same method to try to burn Dreamexplorer, but it was detected as a music CD.
Could somebody please tell me exactly what to do in BootDreams in order to burn homebrew?

I have a March 2000 DC, if that makes any difference.

DiscJuggler isn't the best option. Use Alcohol 120%. There's a trial version if you want to test it.

Other than that, it's possible your system won't load burned discs due to hardware incompatibility, or aging.
