Controller issues

Hi Peeps,

I wondered if anyone can help me with the folowing issue:

What i would like to know is before i buy a 2nd genuine controller, can someone tell me if it wil be able to be changed in 2 player games? what i mean is, on the first controller we move the right stick forward to move the gun down but this is only after we change the controller settings, are these settings able to be changed for the 2nd controller or will it always default to factory settings?
