Here's an old game, last built in 03. I loved it then, and then i got to thinking. My laptop can run it. (133mhz 32mb ram non-opengl video card). The ds might have a few problems, but why not give it a shot? There's version 1, with direct3d, and theres version 2, with opengl and sdl.
