PS3 BD drive swap now possible

modrobert writes: "Information regarding how to 're-marry' a PS3 Blu-ray drive (including controller board) with another console has been released over at elotrolado.net in collaboration with Max1985 over at demonhades.org who provided the files required. There is an interesting thread over at psx-scene.com covering the procedure with instructions (also in the wiki here) posted by Mark Webber. There are several positive reports already but keep in mind this involves some critical steps such as factory service mode (USB dongle required) on the PS3 and flashing of the BD drive.
