Can I run emus if I buy a brand new PSP right now? In stores, they only have TA-082 models (well ic1003 is written inside the disc tray) and they probably have the 2.8 firmware since the store got them a week ago. Will I be able to use it for emus via eloader or downgrades? If not, should I buy one now before they ship them with 2.81 Thanks

i doubt factory psp's atm are 2.8..
If you don't have a psp yet at all; you might want to buy one soon. If you just want emus, I'd recommend using ebay to buy one with a lower firmware. There are plenty of used 2.50's as well as occasional 2.01-2.50's in brand new condition. Just make sure that the sellers are clear about what they are selling you.
ebay or any other second hand shop. There's bound to be some 2.6 and below psps lying around wherever you are...
