E3 2011: Gran Turismo 5 update 1.10 brings major changes

Sony's outlined a major Gran Turismo 5 update (1.10) that sees more than just a few tweaks and fixes come to the PS3 exclusive racer.

As well as gameplay enhancements, update 1.10 adds new features such as online event prizes, a simpler way to purchase parts and an improved opponent AI algorithm.

Come back, we're still listing. There's also an easier way to interrupt and save your progress in championship mode, fresh racing gear choices and a new music track.

Polyphony boss Kaz Yamauchi told GT fans way back in December last year that Gran Turismo 5 will continue to evolve past its release, saying that there were improvements he still wanted to implement.

Expect more patches like this one in the future.
