this is a online chat program called alice. it fun getting it to screw up, but its a lot harder than u would think.
it would be great to use this techonology in games, to make characters more real!
I just started talking about Adam Delano, Mark Discordia, and Pudds, and I got the AI confused. ;)

ALICE: No I am single, how about you?
Human: Single
ALICE: What a coincidence. I am single too!
Human: Let's get married!
ALICE: That sounds good to me.
She likes me. ;D
Human: What's 2/0 ?
ALICE: Six.
Human: 5/0
ALICE: I like the way you talk.
Human: What's 1/0?
ALICE: 1 plus 1 = 2.
I think she just solved the whole "divided by 0" mystery. ;D
Then after a while I started insulting her, this was her response:
ALICE: You do not speak with respect. Interesting deduction. Of course I understand it. Do you understand me stupid FEMALE DOG?

i remember when i had my alice bot in consolevision :P
But yeah pretty funny.

ALICE: I haven't read anything by phil dick. What did he write?

ALICE: I'm sorry, unknown person, I don't have enough information.

ALICE: How do you know? I like PKD a lot, especially, VALIS, The Man in the High Castle, Blade Runner and Total Recall.

ALICE: You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Ahem.

ALICE: My memory requirement is around 64MB for the Java edition, or only 2 MB for the C/C++ edition.

ALICE: Can't you think about anything else?
Hilarity ensues.
She also knows about Eliza, but doesn't seem to be much better than that...

ALICE: Green.

ALICE: Are you serious? Green.
Human: I couldn't be more serious, my favourite colour is blue!
