Europe beat the US in the rider Cup, thats 4 wins out of 5 for europe now, even though on paper, US have a far stronger team! Europe's highest ranked player is Padraig Harrington - 8th (Irish ;) )while the US has Tiger Woods -2nd Phil Mickelson - 4th and Davis Love-III - 5th.
not only that but we kicked the USA ass, the bigger EU win ever (77 years).
anybody watch it?
Did they field a team or just try to claim another of our victories again?
Funny thing is, I found myself watching the Ryder Cup, even though I don't normally watch golf. I think the team format is just swank. Anyways, I believe one of the announcers on the first day said something to the effect of, "If this were a prize fight, it would be called off by now" in regards to the U.S. team's performance. Yeah, I couldn't have put it better myself.
the us did not work as a team, and really have not in a long time. while europe were a very close nit team, thats what gave them the win.....again ;D
