rom hacking tools

are there any snes rom hacking tools that let you view an image and its hex value? instead of useing relative search could i not just find the valute of an image of text or somthing. I am working on something that i cant use relative search for because it isnt in order.

Try lookin over at the sonic hacking scene some clever guys there might be able to help you. Cant remember any adresses but a google search may yeild some results.
