Easiest way of playing 2.7 games

Whats the easiest way of playing games that use 2.71 FW

I cant properlly install devhook =)

I also want to know if there is an alternative method.

Yep Dark_Alex's 2.71 SE firmware is what you need if you dont like loading up devhook everytime you wanna play a 2.0+ umd.

Its pretty much a 1.5 with all the features of 2.71

it's not really upgrading, more like breeding the 1.5 fw with the 2.71 fw...let me put it to u like this 1.5 was the daddy and 2.71 is the mommy they "made love" and out came 2.71SE-A and Dark_AleX is like GOD...cuz he created it lol, so basically u have the internet on the main XMB and u can play UMD games up to 2.71 with out loading devhook...so u see it's not really upgrading, more like creating life for the psp

its a 2.71 xmb with 1.5 homebrew capabilities. You can use all 1.5 homebrew excpept x-flash.

whats x-flash?

and do i upgrade to 2.71 first? or install it in a 1.5?

you install it from 1.5.
x-flash is a program to modify gameboots fonts etc.

make sure you read every bit off the readme so you understand what to do.
