I just reurned my 2.8 psp cause of a non-working analog stick and i got a 1.5!!!
Im wondering if i should keep 1.5 or upgrade to 2.71 and use the homebrew enabler?
Also if i use the homebrew enabler will it be compatible with all of the homebrew?

hey bro dont upgrade. In my opinion the 1.5 is still the best firware and to get one while the psp has been out for a while fresh from a store is great. If i were you i would keep it at 1.5. I wouldnt update to 2.71SE-B because i dont really mess around with my psp's flash and plus it still has some flaws even if they are rather small. Even if 99% of the homebrew that run on 2.71SE-B there is still that 1% so i wont update till its perfect, of course this is just me. bro 1.5 is the best fireware. I say run with that for now then if ya feel that you want to get a custom fireware then do so.. congrats on your new psp.

If u want 2.71 and homebrew upgrade to 2.71se its se ok not sony official update
If u dont mind changin versions go for devhook 2.71.
My suggestions are to get familiar 1st with homebrew then taking further steps like flashing ur psp
