My PC just turned itself off last night whilst I was using it (abusing it more like).
I thought nothing of it and went to sleep.
This morning I went to turn it on and nothing, all dead except for one green light on the network card. There are no fans, now power light.
so now I have no pc at home :( I guess that puts my psp projects on hold :(

sounds like a power supply issue. You can pick one of those up for minimal amounts.
Does it make any beeps when you try to switch it on?
nope nothing, just a green light. no beeps, no fans, nothing just a green light.
I'm going to get another case at lunchtime as i can get a case cheaper than I can get a PSU!
I sure hope you get it up and running,at the very least your hard drive accessable.
Well I doubt the hard drive is a problem, I'll be VERY surprised if that is the case to be honest.
its either the motherboard or the psu. Sadly neither of which I can really afford to replace this side of december :(

I mentioned the hard drive earlier to say at least you could still retrieve your work from another PC.
Yeah but the problem is, the other PCs I use are work pcs.
Ow,too bad you can't cluster all those psp's you have and compile with that,lol.

The gutting thing is that I had just set up a SVN repository on that machine too.
I just hope it isn't a reinstall job, I can't stand that.
Guess it'll just have to wait. Saw a nice case earlier for £30, but if I get that, and it turns out to be the motherboard I'll be plenty pissed.
oh and I need a new keyboard :(
