[Help] Unbrick PSP 3003 TA-090v2?

I first posted this in 2010 but I'm hoping now in 2012 some one knows something new that i already don't.

Is there any possible way of unbricking or flashing a PSP 3003 TA-090v2? I had GEN-C on there and when I went to upgrade/flash it to GEN-D3 it switched off (don't ask why). Go to turn it on the green power light is on, but the screen is blank.

I've searched the web and have found no real solution. Apparently this service battery works but only has been tested on a TA-088v3? >>

Is there any alternative to opening it up and replacing the board? Where would be the best place to get it to repaired?
