Yeah well im looking for a cheap TV for my room and I was wondering if component cables will make games look any better on a standard CRT tv.

I dont want to buy the cables if they dont do anything because there $50 here.
Component cables offe3r the most benefit on a tv which is 480p compatible. Although this tv is not 480p compatible, the component cables will maximize the image clarity that you will be able to get from it. I'm not sure how much improvement there will be, but things will be at least slightly less fuzzy.
