New to the DS World

Hello everybody !

So I just bought a NDS. With no game :) (I bought a TFT the same day, and I want my budget to relax a bit), and my question is this :

I know M3 is supposedly better. I know DS-Xtreme is the best thing ever but...

Let's just say I can get a Supercard + Superpass for cheap. Would that work for all the homebrews and games ? (I'm a try before you buy type) ? I heard about games requiring "patching", so does that mean that some games wouldn't work ?

Explain in simple words to a poor n00b please :)

im not sure about super card
i own max media player with giga pack and i like it
people bash it but it really is good
for the 1 gig version you only pay 50 bucks
and its easy to get you can find it at best buy
