Microsoft to launch its own branded tablet?

Planning to be the kryptonite against the Superman-like iPad.
Apple is laughing all the way to the bank with the iPad, which continues to smash every other tablet on the market.
Android tablets have provided no real competition so far, with even the much-fancied Kindle Fire on the slide after a good start.
Can Microsoft do any better? Rumours of its entry into the space have been around for a while, and have now increased as the Windows giant prepares to make a 'major' announcement at an event in LA event on Monday, June 18th.
It will be interesting to see if the firm does enter the market, and in particular how it will effect the partnership with Nokia, which is expected to launch Windows 8 tablets in Q4.
