Digital New Super Mario Bros. 2 is £10 more expensive than retail version
Nintendo has announced pricing information for its first wave of full downloadable 3DS games.
http://cdn.medialib.computerandvideo...mb_wide300.jpgMuch like with full PS3 games on PSN and full Xbox 360 titles on Xbox Live, 3DS owners can expect to pay a premium for downloadable versions of titles like New Super Mario Bros. 2.New Super Mario Bros. 2 will cost £39.99 to download from the Nintendo eShop, but will be available from GAME for £29.99.
The digital version of New Art Academy will set you back £29.99, a fiver more than it will in-store, and Freakyforms Deluxe will cost £24.99, versus £19.99 at retailers.
The only benefit we can see is that the downloadable versions are available from this Thursday, a day before you can pick them up in-store.
Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has said the company plans to offer all first party 3DS and Wii U titles both digitally and at retail going forward, noting: "Since the packaged and the digital download formats both have their own merits, we would like to offer both of these options to our consumers."
