Annoying N00b questions

Ok, I will start by saying, if you get annoyed by N00bs asking questions about stuff, that to most people is obvious, then don't read on.

Basically, I got a TA-082 PSP, running FW 2.60, and I live in England (I mention this, because I have been tempted before to try the 2.71 update stuff, but found the link saying USA region, or something like that, so don't know if region makes a difference).

I want to know what I should do, to get the best out of my PSP (I am talking homebrew, for that is what I got my PSP for really)

Sorry again for being the "anoying N00b" am sure you get many asking the same questions, but I would really appriciate advice.

Well, 1st update to 2.71 then get hen-d then downgrade to 1.5 then update to 3.03 oe-b

gettin the 1.50 files is a pain in the backside if u dont know where to look lol

why upgrade first, just use the easy 2.6 downgrader, it has all the necessary files, but requires an unpatched copy of GTA LCS (the one with update 2.00 on it, not a later one).

The 2.60 downgrade will just brick the PSP because it is aimed at those who don't have a TA-082 unit. It has to be done from firmware 2.71 running HEN-D as you would need to run a program first that changes some idstorage keys prior to the downgrade to 1.50 using the generic downdater.

2.71 > 1.5 Has been known to be safer
