failure to communicate

i have a 2.81 pink psp and a 3.02OEB black one.
i have a backup of lumines2 and tried to play the back-up vs the umd. for some reason the psps cannot find each other. if i do the same thing with lumines 1 there is no problem. any idea what it could be. i am certain that it is not the dump as i used the same setting etc for lumines 1.
also, i have tried channel set to automatic, 1, and 11 but no joy.
any ideas?

this is not a warez discussion. this is about my backup being fully operational.

I had problems with Devhook before and finding other PSP's (ie: it never worked). However prior to downgrading and upgrading my nephew's 2.71 TA-082 PSP I could run a backup off my stick and have the nephew run the disc in his system and we could play multiplayer games (I was already at 3.03 OE on my PSP). Now all our PSP's are at 3.03 OE-B and can communicate with each other fine still.

cool thanks. except 1 of the psp is 2.81 so i cant upgrade to 3.02oeb or similar. guess will have to wait regarding that aspect! :(
