what do you think the odds are that the wii will be able to play music/video in the future? im coming into some tax money soon so i was wondering if i should get an sd card and a reader or not and if anyone's heard that the wii might be able to play media soon that might influence my decision.
The Wii already plays music and video through the Photo Channel...
I know, I couldn't believe it either. Though its not nearly as easy as the PS3. It is compatible with Motion JPEG video files and MP3 audio. Though I have only been able to play the MP3s through games with custom tracks like Excite Truck...can't seem to figure out how to play them right in the Wii Menu yet.
huh.. thats an odd place to play music/movies from isnt it? well if you or anyone else figures out how to play mp3's through the photo channel correctly give me a pm or something. oh and i know about streaming it but i have DIAL-UP so i cant!
