Wi-Fi Networking Help needed

I really want to get my Wii online.
I dont have the money for a router right now, but i was wondering...

I have a HP pavilion dv6190eu laptop and it has built in Wi-fi but connects to the internet via a USB modem.
Can I use my internal Wi-fi as hotspot to connect my Wii and PSP to the internet???

You'd need to connect to the laptop through ad-hoc...I'm not really sure if ad-hoc would work with the Wii.

Yeh i need a router.

But i was wondering instead of connecting to a router through my laptop, i could make its internal wifi into a hotspot, like the nintendo wifi dongle does?

Anyone?
