Original Content for the Virtual Console still a possiblity

"Nintendo has developed a programming system that will allow small independent developers to make games for Wii download service.

"We cannot confirm at this time in what format the new content will be delivered, but in the future there will be original games available for download through the Wii Shop."

awesome, just like Microsoft XNA, I just hope its cheap and easy to use. I havent tried XNA yet but soon enough

It depends what they men by "small independent developers". I don't think they go the way of XNA and they actually mean small commercial developers rather then bedroom coders.
