Origin nears 40 million users, says EA

Electronic Arts has said its digital delivery platform Origin has nearly 40 million registered users.
http://cdn.medialib.computerandvideo...mb_wide300.jpgThat's up a significant number since the firmreported 30 million registered users by the end of October 2012.That figure accounts for users across both PC and iOS platforms, but the firm doesn't break down how many of these registered accounts are actively used.
The publisher also notes that the service now has over 500 games on offer, including games from EA and from partnered publishers.
The firm stated in October 2012 that some 70 games studios sell their games through Origin.
The Origin client today went live for Mac, bring some 50 titles to Mac gamers including Dragon Age 2, Batman: Arkham City and a lot of The Sims games.
