Shin Megami Tensei 4 begins quest in Japan May 2013

Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei 4 is scheduled to launch in Japan this May. Ruliweb(via Siliconera) grabbed the release date of May 23 out of this week's Famitsu magazine in Japan. There is also a special SMT4-themed Nintendo 3DS XL scheduled for release on launch day with the game pre-installed.

There is currently no announced international release window for Shin Megami Tensei 4. If you're not familiar with the series, we have an editorial on why fans of JRPGs are anticipating it.
