changing ps1 aspect ratio

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the aspect ratio of a ps1 game, like when converting it to an eboot. I know this maybe a longshot, but i don't like having the black lines on the top and bottom of the screen. the playstation emulator has no problem stretching the image, but with about half the games, it leaves the empty space on the top and bottom. if this has been asked before, i apologize but i couldn't find it in the search. thanks

You are probably using a pal game. That's more of the games problem, something that is a butt to fix. You *most likely* downloaded it, so it's the price you pay for a free game.
