This works fine on 3.10 OE-A' so you should not have to upgrade your firmware. Unless you are on an early version of the official SONY firmware.

Anyway...

The menu system is very sloppy but the games play great.

7 games for a reasonably cheap price makes this one well worth it.

Best of all, there is RED blood. Not the stupid grey blood like in the PSX version of Metal Slug X.

I may be talking out of my a$$, but would't be possible now that Metal Slug Antology has come out, to see if SNK used emulation for its games? What if and it is a big IF, Metal Slug 6 (An Atomiswave Game) was emulated, couldn't we use the emu to emulate other Atomiswave games. I sure would love to play Samurai Shodown 6 on my PSP! I anyone could do it I know NJ could. But anyway, it is just speculation... Great job NJ!!

great games. crap crap crap menu option and save feature.
really cool unlockables - when you complete games you get tokens that you can use to unlock wallpaer sets for your psp home screen.
the very worst thing about this game tho is that it is an anniversary addition and the left out the combat school extras. that is just f*ckin stupid.

Samurai Showdown would be just the beginning. The Atomiswave hardware is nothing more than a Dreamcast with a cartridge slot instead of a GD-ROM drive.

I doubt it's emulated though....

I know, Dreamcast would be so far though (impossible!) but even games like Power Stones are being ported to PSP. I would love to see it happening, even I don't believe it could happen...

This is nothing but the same old same old same old same old...I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a great title to buy IF you don't have a hackable PSP.

Anyone in the scene knows ALL these games can be emulated already via NJ's MVSPSP emulator...WI-FI ADHOC even! This title offers nothing new except unlockable official ART and MUSIC(that every fan of the series has seen and heard already), and the ability to play as any of the cast of characters once you beat all 7 games. BIG F'N DEAL...not to mention, LAME.

SNK re-hash?!...AGAIN?!

Besides, with all the game Re-hashing SNK have been known for the past decade...I wouldn't be a tad surprised they somehow integrated an altered version of NJ's Emulator...lol
