File transfer error.
I am n00b :(
I just bough one PSP and connected it to PC and when I open it's drive and go to MUSIC/VIDEO or ISO folder and try to paste my contents, it says something like ... "file specified cannot be find"..."check file name." blah blah.
could you please help me getting out of the tension that I did not trashed my money?
-
well is it a official memory stick?
are you sure you're files aint corrupt?
have you tried the drag and drop method?
-
not official, it is 2 GB Pro DUO bought separately.
files are not correputed, for example mp3s and mp4s are working fine on PC.
yes, I tried drag/drop without luck :(
-
did you get you're memory stick from a trusted shop or from a dodgy market guy/ebay?
-
hmmmm from a local brick shop, and he game me one homebrew free...NFS Carbon and that is working fine.. but now at home when I try to transfer something, it creates problem.
-
well check youre device manager on youre computer and check all your drivers are in.
if not it sounds like a fake memory stick.
have you tried the memory stick that came with it?
-
Duh!
Click start then run type "cmd" then type "chkdsk /f X:"
X is the letter of the drive change it to what yours is!
when you press enter after typing this just leave it and it will scan for errors and then fix them for you!
-
Well there shouldnt be a problem with the disk because its browsing ok?
Anyway, try that.
-
You can browse the PSP with errors on the Mem Stick anyways!!! It doesnt make sence what you said?

I changed the data cable and it's working fine now :$
