PSP (Jap) Version 1.5 Question

I couldn't find this through searching the forum, but i may have just missed it somewhere. I apologize in advance if i missed it.

I see success-hk.com/superufo.com selling "Jap" 1.5 PSP's and I was wondering if i could easily update the firmware to 3.40 OE without any problems even though this is a Japanese PSP?

I miss my emulators on my PSP... I made the mistake of updating too much a while back. Its either a 1.5 psp i can update or a gp2x, but since ps1 emulation seems to be doing great on the PSP, thats what i'm going for.

Yes, the update will work on a Japanese PSP.

yep i once updated to custom firmware with a jap update so my circle and cross buttons were switched.

on 3.40 oe u can swap that from the recovery menu anyways.
