Downgradable???

I bought a PSP with the version 2.71
but now i want to know is it ok to instantly downgrade it to 1.5 or will it brick because i never
upgraded it???:confused:

Upgrade it to 2.80. Then use a 2.80 dowgrader . Check first if your PSP is a TA-082 before , because use a non-TA-82 dowgrader in a Ta-82 one will brick it !
An new exploit found in Lumines allows run unsigned code in any fw version now... so if you have a Lumines UMD you can just wait for a "generic" dowgrader.

And of course... NEVER update your firmware to versions higher than 3.50. Sony will fix this exploit in the next fw version.

Ohhw ok but it will brick if i try to downgrade it to 1.5??Srry one more question is it possible to upgrade mine 2.71 to 2.71 SE-A ,B, or C???

To upgrade to any OE edition (2.71,3.02,3.03,3.10,3.30,3.40) you must have firmware 1.50 first.
Ah. You can dowgrade directly from 2.71 to 1.50.
Look int the Dark_ALex´s site and follow EXACTLY the instructions... the risk of brick is low.

I can´t help so much with the downgrade steps because i bough a used 3.40-OE...

make sure to read the readme for everything it should help you.
once you get to 1.50 go ahead and update to 3.03 OE-C or to 3.40 OE

So it doesn't matter if i never upgraded or
downgraded my PSP???Well i heard that you need to atleast upgrade once with you PSP to perform the downgrade scene (in my case to 1.5) or else it would brick??

no u dont need to update. i bought my 2nd psp and it came with 2.71 and i downgraded straight from there. no problems
